he has an option for next year and he says he wants to get to 3000 which is only 100 away for him. the giants are in Cincinnati tomorrow, and they are going to play in warm weather, high humidity, and a lot of carry. bonds could have a monster series, and that will help his total. i honestly believe he could get to 785.

Between 765 and 790. He'll hit 10 after 755 this year and if he returns in 2008, he'll hit between 15 and 25 next season. Not bad for a guy who'll be 44.

That depends on many factors, including:
• How long he continues to play
• How many quality at-bats he gets (as opposed to walks)
• How his general health and stamina hold up
Assuming he hits #756 during August, my guess is that he ends up with 758-762 by year's end. San Francisco does not intend to resign him for next season, so it's likely he will opt to retire, rather than have to complete for playing time against players half his age.

I wish for 755, one short of the record. However, I think he will get to 760 or 765. This will be his last season, period. The Giants aren't going to re-sign him and I doubt any team will want to pick him up.
