He has an excellent voice! I Have always loved their music, and so many favorites, can't name them all, but a few are Oh Sherry, Escape, Foolish Heart, Don't stop believin,Only the young.

Ahhh... It warms my heart to see new Journey fans! LOL! Everything Steve ever did with them was great, and i go BEYOND the hits. FYI - Jeff Scott Soto is Journeys new frontman , though he's no Steve Perry...

Though he is good, The original Metallica singer (name escapes me for the moment /Slap self) has a very good voice.. listen to Nothing Else Matters... unless you are too opinionated at the moment to change :)

OPEN ARMS GREAT SONG AND PERRY IS IN MY TOP 5 BUT I PUT FREDDY MERCURY AT THE TOP. ALSO PETER CETERA, DENNIS DEYOUNG HAVE GOOD VOICES AND CHRIS CORNELL HAS AGREAT VOICE ALSO EVEN THOUGH HIS STYLE IS DIFFERENT.

Yeah, he can sing. Hard to say how he'd do on American Idol though. My favorite is that one that has "lovin', touchin', squeezin'" in it.
