I live in Austin so no help in that area. But I smoked and was told I had to be quit for at least 3 months but 6 would be better. I have now quit for 6 months so am going to go back and talk to the Dr.

I quit 5 years ago and what seemed logical to me was to smoke a cigar once in a while if the cravings got really bad. That way I would not inhale (too strong), but I'd get the whole general smoking experience. That worked well. At first I had a couple a month, now I hardly ever even want a cigar, maybe a few a year (they are nasty). For me, there are no more cravings, it's just mental, mostly. I think the physical addiction is out of your system in a few days actually.

Do NOT go back to smoking. Do you have any idea how bad it is for you? And why would any woman want a breast implant? Boobs that are too big don't look very good to me.
Either way, here are ways to quit smoking

These are really good tips I have heard to stop smoking. Hope they help.

Because a smoker forms the habit of putting something in their mouth, and it's like always a cigarette. you will need something else to put into your mouth, like lollipops.

Have a peppermint each time you crave a cigarette, the craving will go away somehow.

Be sure to have lots of water, and the nicotine will wash out with 48 - 72 hours. Let's say, the same amount as some scientist discovered. 6 - 8 glasses a day.

Make sure you get a lot of fresh air and exercise, it will help your brain recover

Have faith. Thinking you can't do it over and over won't help.

I am not having BA but I am having cosmetic surgery and there are standard guidelines for medications/herbal supplements of 2 weeks. I believe I read the same guidelines are for smoking, because smoking causes blood flow problems.

well.. some doctors prefer 3 months but some prefer 6 months. the more time u spend without smoking the better because the thing is, that smoking can make u heal badly.
