LIBBY WAS CONVICTED BY A JURY OF HIS PEERS, AND SENTANCED BY A FEDERAL JUDGE, HIS APPEAL WAS DENIED TWICE BY FEDERAL JUDGES MANY OF WHOM WERE CONSERVATIVE. CALLING IT A WITCHUNT IS A DAMNED LIE.

It's not just you. When it became certain this morning that Libby would go to prison, Cheney knew Libby would not take the fall alone, so he told GW to fix it. I remember being incensed back in 1974 when Ford pardoned Nixon. Just like then there will be a number of so-called "moderates" or "voices of reason" that will try to rationalize this as something different. But putting whipped cream on horseshit doesn't really help.

Yes I can believe it, and I approve of it. This whole damn investigation was a witch hunt.

Fitzgerald knew early on that no real crime had been committed, yet they went after Libby for lying to them to cover up something that wasn't even a crime.

Good for Bush! He should have pardoned libby, not just granted clemency.

Sorry to say I told you so but guess what...I told you so. The screwy Reps will still back him with conservative whitewash. Vote 'im in and pay the price. You got what you asked for America. Keep your heads down for more's on the way.

Libby was not pardoned, his sentence was commuted.

Until you can get that right, you can't comment intelligently on this subject.

It's just you.

Every president pardons people - normally people who don't deserve pardoning.
