I'm not talking about a long term disability. I'm talking about when one or both of you are temporarily feeling ill (like with a bad cold or flu), do you choose to abstain until you're both feeling better?

Don't make me out to be weird. I only asked cause I was ill this past week and my wife was horny. I felt guilty making her wait.

You shouldn't feel bad for making her wait...you didn't feel well. She should care about your wellbeing and not push anything on you that might make you feel worse. I know that if I had the flu I wouldn't want my husband to even TOUCH me in a sexual way...sure lay next to me...rub my muscles..cuddle with me because I feel like dying..but do NOT make me feel bad for not being up for sex...that's a horrible thing to do and shows that they don't care about you, only themselves.
Now, if both are up for doing it? Go ahead...but don't pressure anyone into it or make them feel bad about not doing it if they don't feel well.

Yes; we abstain when one of us is ill. Not worth getting sick
yourself. In fact I sleep on the sofa when my hubby is ill, and he does the same for me.

Yes we abstain until we feel better. I didn't realize someone would not know something as simple as that. See how you & I both learned something today...

I like to sweat it out of me ... lol ... I guess it depends on how bad we're feeling ... sometimes it helps ... sometimes it's hard work ... but we never make the other person feel worse if we get turned down ... it's part of life - sex can wait ... !

well from reading the other answers, we must be weird :-)
i find that if my boyf and i are up for it, then we go for it, if we are in bed for a day or 2 together, then hey, why not take advantage of the situation, cheer ourselves up, and then cuddle up and sleep our cold away.

of course.. I'm right now in such a situation.. I have had bleeding and am 7 weeks pregnant so no sex.. and thats fine for him.

Sex drive goes down when you aren't feeling well. It's hard to get aroused with a nose full of snot.

Not really, I may try to abstain when I'm sick, but if he wants it, he'll do what he has to do to get it!!!! But I don't bother him when he's sick.....things that make ya go hhhhmmm!

No; we're way beyond that.
Intercourse is only part of our total range of sexual satisfaction. We take care of ourselves, too.
