It will not really help your computer. An external hard drive is like a box that holds extra information. It stores extra information that your computer cannot store, and it helps you transfer files form one computer to another, if you want to boost your computer's performance, buy RAM, or memory. It has to be specific to your computer, and its easy to install, then you will notice changes in speed.

an external hard drive is the same thing as an internal hard drive exept an external is outside the PC. A hard drive is like a memory stick except you can put a lot more stuff in it. getting a external hard drive might speed up ur system, but i dont think so. what i recommend is getting more RAM (Random Access Memory) the more ram the better!

An external hard drive is an add on hard drive to add additional
storage capacity for a computer, they won't help your computer get any faster though, what's probably happening Windows is getting bogged down with lots of files that get added to the machine over time like temp files and the like what you need is to delete a lot of these unused files and basically give your machine a "tune up". There are programs that can do this or you can bring it to someone like Geek Squad or someone like that that can do it for you. You can get a program like XP tools for a free trial at download.com

Your exterior no longer elementary force might desire to tutor as an icon on your demonstrate. purely drag and drop each and every little thing you desire on that force. in case you desire to sparkling area on your gadget's no longer elementary force then do no longer forget to delete despite you progression onto the Lacie as quickly as you have checked that it has transferred effectively. in case you desire to start up putting stuff at as quickly as on the Lacie then purely specify it using fact the holiday spot whenever you preserve some thing. you have a great volume of potential because it stands and that i'm uncertain why you desire to go stuff onto the Lacie, except it particularly is for motives of backup, that's clearly a good theory. it particularly is a shame you're no longer on a Mac, as you are able to then have, on Leopard, the mind-blowing Time gadget facility which will mean in no way dropping something ever back. in case you do no longer think of you're lots good at computers make your next one a Mac - they're greater convenient, smarter, and cooler than a working laptop or pc, and lots greater undemanding to apply. Vista is the place Mac substitute into approximately ten years in the past.
