I can't remember what baby wolves are called. I always thought they were cubs, but now my friend is saying they're not called cubs, but pups like a normal dog. Do you know what their called? If so, can you put a link to a site that proves what you're saying? Thanks so much, guys!!

Both are acceptable terms. I hear both, but I often hear cubs when watching shows about them.

Bears and I think cats are cubs. Wolves and dogs are pups.

Cubs used to be the correct word, but today,
pups is also acceptable

theyre called pups because they are related to dogs. they are both in the canine family along with foxes and coyotes. dogs are just the domesticated versions of wolves. so it's a fact that they are called puppies, i'm an "expert" on wolves! love em!!!

Pups. all dogs have wolf genes in them, and are members of the Canid family like dogs are.
