I don't think you need to wear a suit. Black or kahki dress slacks, white shirt and tie is the best. Make sure your clothes are fresh, stain free and neatly ironed. Wear a simple tie.

If you don't want to wear a suit, wear a button-down shirt, dress pants and preferably a tie. Sure it may seem overboard, but your goal in the interview is to *stand out* above the other job candidates, not to stand among them. If all things are equal and everyone else shows up wearing jeans or polo shirt, you'll be the one who looks professional. Of course, you have to wow them during the interview too, but you didn't ask about that, so I'll stick to what to wear. Think of what to wear as dressing to please someone that's your parent's age. You most likely never go wrong there. :-)

Wear a nice pair of Khakis and a polo shirt should be fine for that type of job. Now Before you go, create a list of questions about the job, also bring a pen and paper to take notes on the information they give you . It makes you look well organized and prepared. Be confident and smile a lot.
Best of luck I am sure that you will do well.

First Job Interview -
wear what you would wear to church. Always dress 'up' a level from what you will be wearing at work.
Business formal is suit, tie, dress shirt, belt, and dress shoes.
Business casual is jacket, dress slacks, dress shirt, tie, belt, and dress shoes [ black or brown, no work, motorcycle, or combat boots! ]
Socks should match shoes or slacks color.
Clean hair, clean fingernails, fresh breath, lots of deodorant
[ because you'll be nervous! ]
No jeans, ever, unless you are working at a construction site!
Your supervisor will tell you the dress code for work.

You don't have to wear a suit, but dress up, don't go in jeans or flipflops. Dress just a little up from what the people working there wear.
There's nothing wrong, though, with wearing a suit to the interview, but you wouldn't have to.
