If you did, how many months were you pregnant until it went away? Thanks!

With my 4th pregnancy, I had been having regular periods and then had one lighter period before I found out I was pregnant. I was taking birth control pills when I conceived and didn't know I was pregnant. I had to have an ultrasound to see how far along I was and I was 17 weeks when I found out. I stopped taking the birth control pills the day I found out I was pregnant and I didn't have another period during my pregnancy. It is not common, but some women do experience monthly bleeding while pregnant. Most generally, absence of a period is one of the earliest signs of pregnancy and one of the most reliable although there are other medical conditions that can cause a period to stop. I don't know statistics, but not many women get a period when they are pregnant, but it does happen sometimes.

some people have very light spotting while on their periods, but I THINK that it is generally in the earliest stages of the pregnancy ( 1st trimester)
