I have a laptop and a regular computer,both Windows XP,I have a router to connect my internet service to the laptop,It worked fine until one day it stopped it started saying tht there was no Wireless Connections in range even if the router is next to the laptop,all the cords are in the correct places.

Check your router's configuration. It sounds like the wireless was turned off. Check with your router manual for specifics on this.

If it is on, make sure the notebook's wireless config is consistant with the config that is set up in the router. Pay particular attention to encryption, preshared key, and MAC validation as well.

Check that your wireless card is turned on, there is a tiny slide switch or button for this. It should have a small icon for an antenna.
