How can i lock my internet network in my pc in my pc, so that my pc does not look for other networks?

I have a linksys firmware 2. My internet keeps on disappearing every 3 or so minutes. The cause maybe that the labtop network my pc is picking up is trying to connect to that network than my own.

I presume you are talking about a wireless link to the router. It seems odd that your pc wants to go to another network. If so the other networks have security issues.

Anyway, you should be able to select your own network and it should not be jumping as you suggest.

I think the real issue is something else, like an intermittant problem with the router dependability. Some Linksys models are famous for failing after a while. See if there is new firmware for it as this may fix the problem.
