Hey Sissi, if you want to write do it! Who cares what people think. Every author starts somewhere. Im 42 and a married Mum of 4 and I love Stephen King books, so does that make me weird. No, it doesnt it means I love to escape from reality, so go for it!
Follow your dreams! Good Luck!

Go ahead and write but let people around you know that you are writing fiction. I also recommend not turning in any horror writings as an assignment, I have known plenty of people who had to have a conference because they did. So just let someone know what you are writing and why, so they don't find it later and freak out, and you should be fine.

Let the world know your true personality and I agree pretty much of what you are saying. I write some really scary horror stories but I'm not evil or anything, if you need any help, add me.

Totally go for it. He has to retire some day and it would be nice for someone to continue writing his genre. I love his books, but don't forget, he is also a wonderful fantasy writer and can combine the two. To write like him shows you have a wonderful imagination!

Write til your fingers bleed!
What matters is you are doing what you love and there are many, many horror fans.
You must have talent and persistence however! Why don't you post an example of your work. Good luck.

Stephen King is one of my favourite writers period. My favourite is by far the Shining, and it's a supremely twisted novel where the supposed and expected hero becomes corrupted by his own nightmares and ghosts. His new stuff sucks! I love him!

I'm a teenager, and I write stuff like that. Everyone seems to like it but the guidance counselors, and they'll get over it.
