It's just hard to keep going on everyday knowing that nothing is probably going to change. What is the purpose of it all?

bad things happen, but so do good things. You don't always get what you want. it happens to everyone. no one is perfect. What's right is not always popular and what's popular is not always right. The right thing to do is not always the best thing to do, and sometimes you should just go with your gut. Surely your life is not all bad. Theres good things about it too. Whatever cause you to ask this question...maybe emabarassment, or disappointment...you'll get over it. Sometimes it feels like it will always be bugging you, but I know from experience that you'll get over it. I guess life doesn't have a purpose and you'll get a whole lot of different answers but just live the life you were givin and you'll be allright. WHOOOOO!!!!! THATS MY PHILOSOPHY!!!!! BOOOYA!!! PARTY LIKE A ROCKSTA!!!

If you are trying and nothing seems to work, you must be doing something wrong or you really don't want change. I believe you can't change people or circumstances around you, BUT you can always change the way you react to them. Maybe you should try doing a couple things differently and see how they work, then move on to others. Good luck.

There really is no purpose. . .except to do what you can to KEEP BREATHING. Life is simple. Just don't make it hard on yourself! I often feel that way, but that's why we have television, and computers and what not. To add a little spice to life. Why not try going out by yourself? Try something you have never thought you would be able to try before, to spice it up a bit? What keeps YOU going? Life is what YOU make of it. Don't ever forget that.

The Dialectic; the continuation; the "going," the doing, the LIVING ITSELF, IS the Purpose...

Who said it was SUPPOSED to work!?!?
Why does it have to?!
And... who says that it is NOT working?!
-It's all perception!

~~May I suggest you look into Buddhism?
You should read the Buddha's teachings on Life/Suffering, Impermanence, Inter-being, and Detachment, etc...
I think it would be a great help to you.
And the cool thing about Buddhism (in case you are of another religion) is that you don't have to give up that religion--it is extremely adaptable.

If you believe that nothing will change, then continuing to try is illogical. Some things are not meant to be -- at least right now. You can live life like a salmon always going against the current. Or, you can learn to follow a path that has less resistance.

Many people lack the ability to clearly set realistic goals and plan them out.

Now you’ve yelled and screamed
and otherwise vented you spleen.
What are you gonna do about it? Just shout?
How are you gonna straighten it out?
You said what you thought was the case
and what you wanted to happen if you had the ace,
but how do you get from here to there?
Or for that matter, anywhere?
It’s all fine to shout out your dream
even curse your luck.
Get on the beam!
You can’t get by just on pluck.
You gotta have a plan to go with the dream
otherwise it’s just a pipedream.

Many is the time that we regret the path we have taken.
We have to plan - to change it. Dreams do not fulfill themselves

Why don't you ask Thomas Edison, Benjamin Franklin, Henry Ford, Abraham Lincoln, and George Westinghouse that question.
Oh! You can't because they are all dead. But, you should know most of their names because they are people who made big changes in the world around them. There are people in your own life that make small differences every day. Believe it or not, there are also people who watch what you do and take notice of the little changes you make in their lives every day.

Better yet, life is so futile there's not even a point to pondering it.

Look into Buddhism.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddhism#The_Four_Noble_Truths

To exist is to suffer. To avoid suffering, follow the eightfold path.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddhism#The_Noble_Eightfold_Path

The eightfold path is basically a way you can at least feel good about yourself and life while knowing its all pointless.

Good Luck!!

It seems redundant with what you said to tell you there is no purpose, but apparently you still have to ask.
Just do what you want to.
