I don't think there should be a question mark at the end of that sentence.

The simple fact is he still is one of the fastest to reach almost every milestone homerun, 300, 400, 500. This guy was and is still a phenomenal talent, he has slowed since his younger years, yet he already has 22 HRs already and is batting close to .300.

If he is able and willing to play long enough to set any HR records, they won't last long but the simple fact that he dealt with all the injuries he has had over the last five or so years and is still in the equation to possibly hold the HR record is amazing.

Watching him swing a bat in the early 90's was jaw-dropping. He had the sweetest swing out there.

Also, he won 10 straight gold gloves.

In my opinion, probably the best positional player that played the whole decade of the 1990's.

Even taking into account that he has been injury prone since going to the Reds, I still think he makes it. It doesn't matter if he doesn't have the greatest leadership skills, Griffey has shown he is one of the better hitters in baseball when he is healthy. It also helps that he has never been linked with the steroids scandal that seems to have tainted some of the other players recently. If he hits 600 home runs, I think it will ensure that he is a first, or at worst a second, ballot hall of famer.

little doubt. Ken Griffey Jr. substitute into between the main exciting gamers in baseball while he performed for the Mariners. He went all out, making astonishing diving and leaping catches interior the Kingdome and Safeco container. An occasion of his hustle interior the outfield substitute into while he broke his wrist mutually as making a leaping seize up against the Kingdome wall. Griffey hit the canopy off of the ball with super sums of abode runs mutually as hitting for a reliable basic on a similar time. He helped shop baseball in Seattle in 1995 while the M's made their astonishing playoff run previous due interior the season. That honestly won't be able to harm his opportunities on the hall. needless to say if Griffey stayed healthy the previous couple of years, with all the video games he has missed, he might have much greater staggering offensive numbers and spotlight reel performs interior the outfield. Ken made a comeback final season putting up efficient ability numbers, yet as quickly as lower back, missed some video games by using harm. Ken Griffey Jr. relatively hasn't relatively finished something to harm is HOF opportunities, so i do no longer in all probability see why human beings ask if he's hall worth with the occupation he has published. So, to respond to your question, particular i think of Ken Griffey Jr. relatively is a hall of Famer.

Junior could have retired before he went to Cincinnati and went into the Hall of Fame just based off his years in Seattle. We all forget that he made the All-Century team and Bonds was left off. Not to bring up any "allegations" but Griffey was more dominant in his uninjured prime as a total package of speed, power, defense(10 gold gloves) and he hit for a decent average. Attitude/ being a good teammate doesn't have anything to do with being in the Hall of Fame. Both Griffey and Bonds deserve to be in the Hall!

Griffey is a Hall of Famer right now. If it weren't for the injuries and a guy named Bonds, he would have been the greatest player of this generation. Gold Glove defense, hit for average and power, but didn't steal as many bases as he probably should have. The only surefire first ballot Hall of Fame position players right now are: Bonds, Griffey, and Rodriguez. Jeter is probably one, but people like to bash his defense.

No. He's a first ballot Hall of Famer already. I agree 100% that if he retired today, he'd be going to Cooperstown in 2012.

Whoever Caleb is must only be 12 and only seen him play with the Reds.

He's a hall of famer today. He's well above 500 which used to be a mark that gets you into the hall of fame. Although I think that will soon change. Many young hitters now are on pace for 500. The Hall of fame is gonna get crowded.

I am pretty sure he can retire now and go into the Hall of Fame. He doesn't have much left to prove.

I do get surprised by the # of people that already believe that David Ortiz and Johan Santana, should they retire now, get into the Hall. That's simply crazy.

No, he has never been a great leader, or made any contribution to teams other than home runs and decent play every now and then. He is injured too much and has too many attitude and health problems. So no, he along with Barry Bonds do not deserve the hall of fame.
