No, I actually thought Bush was going to let Libby go to jail. I am surprised Bush had the courage to stand up for Libby. Bush will have to take a lot of heat for this.

Apparently Bush did. He had contingency plans drawn up if Libby was ordered to prison pending his appeal. I believe Libby can still continue with his appeal, and Bush can still give him the pardon on his way out of office in Jan 2009. Powerful people can usually find ways to defeating justice.
