maybe the sounds you are hearing are just you and nightmares are just normal because your a first time mother... but the baby already has a heart when its about 8 weeks you cant hear it though...

You generally can't feel the baby move that early. In second, third etc pregnancies you can usually feel (or recognize) a baby movement earlier but still not at 8 weeks. Often times the dr. can't even hear the heart beat in the office and the only way to detcet a heart beat before 10 weeks is by ultrasound.

Also, the strange dreams/nightmares are normal. You'll hear people talk about pregnancy dreams. Your hormones are all out of whack to what your body knows as normal so don't worry about them.

140 is a completely normal heartbeat. You might want to consider a different doctor though because your ultrasound doesn't sound like it was very thorough or professionally done. 8 weeks is far enough along that you should be able to see the baby on ultrasound because they magnify it a whole bunch. My son looked like a peanut at 8 weeks, lol! About gaining weight; you don't gain weight because of how big your baby is although that is a small portion of it. Most of the weight is extra blood, amniotic fluid, and your body building an extra fat layer to make sure that your baby has enough nutrients.

No you can't feel the baby's heartbeat. Sometimes you can feel you own in your belly because of the extra bloodflow through the placenta.
I had crazy nightmares while prego- it's probably hormones they say- but not abnormal :)

a lot of people have weird pregnancy dreams--don't worry. And no, there's no way you can feel the heartbeat--you will be able to see it on ultrasound, and at 11 weeks or so you can hear it with doppler--good luck!!

No you can't feel the heart beat. You can only see it and hear it on a sonogram.

Even at eight or nine months, you can't feel the heartbeat. You can hear it then with a stethoscope, but you can't feel it. I have had four kids.

no but you can hear it by now... once upon a child has an affordable monitor that you can put on and listen from home
