Did anyone see him with Putin after their talks today? Bush got it done and defended American interests finally without invasion. And Putin looked very depressed after Bush destroyed him in negotiations. I have to say, Putin looked hilarious.

They cooled tensions over the missle defense system.

Its just many people say Bush does no diplomacy and only invades places he doesn't agree with, and Putin was obviously destroyed in the negotiations because he looked that way.

Bush is great at diplomacy. He beat down the North Koreans, so there will be no nukes manufactured there.

He got Libya to renounce any further ambitions of having WMD.

He got the Saudis to stop playing both sides of the fence in the war on terror.

Good job, President Bush!

What people don't realize is that Bush is actually quite dynamic in person. However, he often comes across badly on the tv screen. I have read over and over how even Bush's most caustic detrators will admit that, in private, he is quite intelligent, well-versed on the issues, and a very focused thinker.

I wonder if Bush didn't remind Putin that he may have a huge problem brewing with the Muslim population in the USSR. Besides that and Chechnya, Putin might have more than he can handle, and must rely on some sort of tactical support from the U.S.

My only question is, did Bush ever get around to telling Putin he was delusional if he thought Russia could lay claim to the North Pole (that was a headline two days ago).

You thought Bush was going to invade Russia? Presumably, you have some priviledged information into negotations that the rest of us don't have since you seem to know that Bush 'destroyed ' Putin.
But if Bush has said he will go ahead and place yet more USA missiles in Europe, I'd be looking depressed, too.

When exactly is this defense system scheduled to break ground? Putin LOOKED depressed to you. Yeah, what a great negotiator our President has become. I also noticed Daddy was along for the fishing expedition. What part did he play? Interpreter for his son?

Don't think, thinking is dangerous!
Putin is way smarter than Bush. He was the only one who caught a fish there.

Remember what means his last name: Bond
(puty in Russian = bonds).

Huh?

And what exactly did Bush accomplish? Is Russia any freer? Will the Soviets stop selling weapons to terrorists?

Slowly, for those that want to understand you: what did Bush achieve in these talks?
