Of course I celebrate my pets' birthdays..Their birthdays signify the day when the life of a special spirit came and I happy they are gracing me with their unique personalities. Some of the things I do are make hamburger "cakes" and let the dogs eat them ...give the cats a special treat or a new toy..they always have fun and I am happy to do it...How about the rest of you? Anyone else? Who sings "Happy Birthday" to their pets? I do that too...;)

Yes. My poodles birthday is actually 3 days before mine so we share our birthday. I usually put her name on the cake too so she feels special and make sure she gets included in the activities. I also get her a gift. Last year i got her a shirt and a new collar.

Of course i do. My dog was 11yrs old on the 8th June. Every year I wish her a happy birthday and buy her a gift, normally a bone or toy. She also get a fairy-cake with a candle in it. after all she is part of the family.

I always have a party for my dog on her birthday. No dogs get to come over though since she's too dominant so it's just family and friends. We make dog cupcakes and also cupcakes for the human guests. After cupcakes, she gets to open her presents (which she LOVES to do). It's a really good time.

I forgot it this year. :-( However last year we invited both of our families down to celebrate!!! Now mind you I mainly did this cause our family only gets together on holidays, and his bday is in June, so not alot of getting together. So.....we had a birthday party!!!!!
I was so surprised......they all brought gifts for him!!!!! It was so cool! And he LOVES to open wrapped presents!!!! No joke, let him know he can open it and put it in front of him. He'll hold it with his front paws, then will take his teeth and 'daintily' (at first) will pull the paper off in little strips. Then the more excited he gets, the faster he goes!!! He's my little boy!!!

I don't know if I'd call it "celebrating". I keep track of it and on "the day" (or approximate date in some cases) I'll give them a lot of extra hugs and a little extra treat maybe. (It's not like they know why!)
But we don't put little hats on them and buy a cake and blow out the candles or anything like that. LOL.

I don't even celebrate my own birth day, why would I celebrate my dogs? That's just insanity. I have more important things to do in my life than be concerned w/ planning a flippin' party for an animal.

I know what date she was born and how old she is but I don't bake a cake or get out silly hats or hire a clown. I simply wish her a happy day and pray for many more.
