I say yes we should

Every last thing that happnes in the US has a direct impact on Canada - Trade politics currency national debt - etc

How many people did we end up with who dodged the draft in Vietnam

What impact does the falling US dollar have on our manufacturing sectors etc

The list goes on and on -

Although we are a seperate nation with a very different history we are intricately affected by decisions made to the south of us

The US appears to be moving to a facist state - That will affect us and our people -

I say we should be watching and when rights disapear in the US we should warn the sleeping American public -

It is what a good nieghbor would and should do

Doesn't that depend on the direction America is going in? You seem to think it's spiraling toward a facist state - and I'm not denying it - so I'll have to agree with you.

Trout, really you need to relax. Undoubtedly Canada, from time to time, will get the crap end of the USA stick. It's a bit like having a rooster live in the same cage as an elephant. However, your military is provided for and you know it. No one will ever attack Canada - since you don't have to pay for international defense you get health care at our expense. We are also your most viable trading partner for oil - you've certainly benefited there - tourism - and let me count the number of American corporations hiring Canadians - just because you put Canada at the end - as in Home Depot Canada - doesn't make it a Canadian company.

I think you worry about things too much, The falling dollar in Europe doesn't have an impact on our manufacturing sectors as they are up AGAIN this month, the highest it's been in years, so why would it affect yours, and if so it must have a positive affect!

It's very kind of you to worry about the States. I agree that we are intertwined but as you probably have guessed by now, Americans are an independent hard-headed lot who don't listen and wouldn't heed your warning if you did give it. Thank you for what Canada has done (and in a lot of cases, thanks for giving the draft dodgers a place to go) and good luck to you.

The Us does not have anything to do with Canadian policies,

Your complaining about people who dodged a war 40 years ago? That is your proof. That is a joke right...........

America is fine that Canada did not want to fight in Iraq,,, We do not need your "military" if you can even call it that anyhow.
