Since Alternative/Parapsychology is a subcategory of Science & Mathematics, and science is not about satisfying true believers and silencing critics, I don't think your believer-only request is appropriate here.
I'm not a believer. I've never seen, heard, smelled, tasted or felt a ghost. If I had, I'd know it.

I totally believe you. I'm a 37 year old mother of three. It's not like I'm a kid that hears bumps in the night. I lived in a house approximately 6 years ago that my husband and I finally had to move out of due to all the activity in that place. It is by far the most haunted place I have ever experienced and hope to never experience again. I tell my kids that there is no such thing as ghosts when they get scared at night, just to soothe them, but I'm here to tell you, there definitely is! Since we have moved I have not had another problem and plan to keep it that way. There are way too many details to tell you here, but I have pictures of orbs galore, a wicked face in the shadows of my kitchen, even SWARMS of dead bugs in both windows of the room that we had the most events in. This house is approximately 10 minutes away from where I live presently and I drive past all the time. They have not been able to keep tenants in that place for longer than six months. It was a horrible house! When the window of my front door exploded after three nights in a row of horrific scares I finally said enough is enough. We packed and were completely out in less than 14 hours, believe that!

My Aunts and I have created a group of ghost hunters (H.A.G.S) and we'll places that are said to be haunted and investigate. After hearing Sylvia Brown talking about EVPs we decided to try it and so off we went to some local cemeteries and low and behold did we capture some voices. Other times when have gone and have recorded nothing but silence. We've also captured what we believe are ghost on a digital camera. It was awesome because we were looking at an old school that was used in the mid to late 1800s and there was nothing there at all, but when we took some pictures there was a whole lot of things.
I love talking about ghost and hearing stories :o)

Actually I can see, and hear spirits. There are different scenarios to this but it is basically the same.
I am a psychic medium, don't ask me how, cause I don't know how I got the gift, all I know is that I have it and at times it is the pain in the rear. The ability is not the same as perceived in many TV shows, the only accurate one is the one they show on court TV I forget the name of it, but that show is the only one that accurately portrays what I see, hear, and feel. Not all the time can I understand everything that the spirit says, because spirits have no concept of time, sentences have a tendency to run together, and deciphering what they say can take several days.
The really cool part of having the gift is that I am in a paranormal group, and my talents come in very handy on investigations, and the cool thing is having proof to back up my claims of activity, either by EVP's, EMF, or capturing it on digital camera, or video.
I hope that answers your question.

I think it is important for me to point out that ghosts are not, i repeat are NOT people who died and are earthbound roaming around scaring the living. This is an idea promoted by old wives and known fakes like john edwards and sylvia browne.
I dont know what your experience is, you might want to elaborate on what you are talking about.
If you want to believe they are ghosts, then that is your call. If you want to know if there is a natural earthly cause for your experiences, then explain more and I am sure about 3 or 4 people will give you a satisfactory answer.
As a Christian, given this much information, all I can do is say, read the Bible and pray.

When I was a teen, I woke up to footsteps on the stairs. When I turned around for a brief second(one in which I saw more than one can see normally in a second) I saw my Grandfather who had passed several years before. This was later confirmed by a psychic medium without me telling her! By the way, do not get upset with the non-believers who are sending you answers. It's amazing how one can believe in God , yet not believe in ghosts or the paranormal?????

Yes, to both. I'm currently Investigating a huge 3 story brick Victorian in New Orleans' Garden District. Among the sightings, dis-embodied voices and etc. Paranormal Activity going on in the house is the sightings of a full-bodied Apparition of a lovely lady, late 20's - early 30's in ca. '40's attire. Three different people have seen the Spectre while alone in the daytime. Each one was individually shown a number of old photos of prior owners of the mansion, each man positively ID'ed the same lady. We hope to capture a photo and hopefully an EVP of this beautiful lady soon. --Rod

No but I see shadows wandering around every night outside my window. Sometimes i think they are staring at me. But i've never heard anything..Plus, i don't believe in ghosts. The only reason you're afraid of them is because u can't contoll them. But u can. Stop watching so much tv.

Actually I have had three things that are very odd happen to me. I'm not going to try to prove to you that there are ghost. Because I don't know. But any way here is what happened. I new an old Hobo years ago. He died in a VA hospital. The next Summer I saw him walking down an alley carrying a sack. He had stolen something from me and I wanted to know why. When he saw me he turned and took off down the alley.I chased him and at a dead end around a corner he just wasn't there any more! My father passed away several years ago. One night I was setting in my work van doing paper work. I saw my father walk up my drive way, knock on my door shrug when no one answered and walk away. I was so shocked I just sat there. It was foggy and I finally tried to follow him. I lost him in the fog. Two years ago a friend of mine committed suicide. I have never saw her "ghost" but several times I'm sure I have heard her calling my name!

Only a few occasions have there been a presence. Once was at a friends house who said they lived with ghosts. I never payed attention, but one night I stayed over and we heard and saw a shadow of a man walking on leaves outside her window. The only thing there nothing outside that window, it was the second story apartment with no ledge or roofing of any sort below. These apartments where flat like office buildings. And no we weren't under any influences. I now work in a historical area dating back hundreds of years. There have been rumors of ghosts but again I pay no mind to these things. Well often I hear things falling in a direction. Small things like lamenated signs, and it will start with one side ending at another. This usually happens at closing. Then I had a ghost follower come in to take pictures in our basment there to see if she could see any orbes. There were many when she had them printed, but that was nothing compared to a light whitish transparent like picture of a young lady in a corner who looked slain. I would say in was faked but it wasn't. I later heard about the prostatution in the town in the early days and it has made me wonder quite a bit. It is neat to know what people know about this.I am Christian, but you never know what's out there. Be careful not to interact with demons.
