We need to convince the Legislators (House and Senate) to give themselves term limits.
Why should anyone be a Senator for 30 years? It is to easy to get corrupted and bought out by special interest groups if you stay in Washington for too long, not only that but after 30 years in Washington they never hang out with the "average Joe" unless they are campaigning.

I will be using the vote tally for amnesty to be a big test on who I vote for. I would love to see term limits in congress and I would like to see their raises capped and based on their approval rating. For example, no more than $5000, and since they are enjoying a 14% approval rating they are only allowed 14% of the $5000 or a max of $700.

It would be nice to see some fresh blood...Some of these people have been at this so long that they just don't care anymore or have just lost touch with Americans. Some never cared to begin with and only saw it as a means to an end. Corruption has taken over and there is no hope so long as we keep the same clowns in power.

Yes. Term limits! Don't give so many perks! Voters have to take a literacy and current events test to vote. I think it is a priviledge to serve, so like I read in one fiction book, leaders had to pay to lead the country and were limited in the amount of money they made, so their influence would be limited to only one sphere. Just a thought...

Yes, we do. Unfortunately it won't happen because the majority of the country is too lazy to even bother voting at all. The ones who keep voting for idiots are the ones who vote.

The government is merely a servant — merely a temporary servant; it cannot be its prerogative to determine what is right and what is wrong, and decide who is a patriot and who isn't. Its function is to obey orders, not originate them.
