I am new to building motors and i decided to take my first rebuild on a car i got for 50$ that still ran a 1990 Chevrolet Corsica 3.1L v6. Although it had to have head gaskets replaced. i have gotten that much done but i am in a bind with the pushrods it seems that some of the rods are longer than the others some are 6'' and some are 6 3/8" and was wondering witch rods go on the intake side and witch ones go on the exaust side? i have no shop manual i jus called the local auto repair store to get the torque specs for the heads and the other info i needed...but they couldent find any info on the pushrods please help thank you

A careful look at the block should tell you which rod has the longer run.

When you dismantle an engine, you mark or somehow distinguish the parts you remove to ensure that you install them in the correct order when you reassemble. But. you're past that point now, huh? You might have to go to a dealer with one of the pushrods and have the parts depeartment pull one from stock and check the length.
