Akira Kurosawa - He is the director that influenced both Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. He is by far the best director that ever lived. Some of his films were turned into American Westerns. "The Seven Samurai" became "The Magnificent Seven" and "Yojimbo" became "A Fistful of Dollars."
