" The fallen flower-I see returning to its branch; O ; a butter fly( arikida Moritake, a japanese poet of 15th century. here the emphasis is not on the butter fly; it is on the "fallen flower returning to its branch".

I like Ms. Tee's explanation, but after reading it a second time, I think you have it wrong - the emphasis IS on the butterfly. The butterfly is the leaf returning to the branch. The poet is describing a butterfly LANDING on the branch. He is trying to express the oneness of nature and that you cannot separate one object from another in the world because everything is part of a single organism. Eucharisto! (Thank you in Greek = pronounced roughly ef-hary-sto - Greek, Japanese ;-))

I felt confused after reading it. I didn't really under stand it because the fallen flower thing went right into some sort of explanation in these...( ). If you wrote this its needs to be more apart not all bunched up. I hope you understand what I mean. :D

I like it. It can be interpreted in many ways. For one the flower returning to its branch can symbolize life and how we stray but always return to our upbringing.

I have a couple of interpretations for it.
