You're talking about subjects at school? If so, I'd talk to the teacher of those subjects about how you can get yourself back on track-- taking action to correct the problem should help relieve the fear.

Stop frightening yourself. Fear is a self-created state. We only come to fear someone when we begin thinking of all the bad things that can happen. We only grow to fear something when we thing of worst case scenarios.

Stop thinking this way and the fear will evaporate.

Or, if you choose to continue to think this way, learn to enjoy fear.

Fear comes from the unknown. Read about, or go on line and study the subject. Give it your attention, the more you know, the less fear you will have.

Well, since death/dismemberment by Math/English/Science ineptitude is fairly rare, what you are afraid of is looking stupid.

Problem is though, that looking stupid is HOW we learn things. Ever see a baby trying to walk - they look stupid. If fact the only thing that looks stupider than a baby trying to walk, is an adult that never learned to walk because they were afraid of looking stupid.

You need to be afraid of how stupid you will look if you don't get over your fear of looking stupid.

16 years old and has trouble with math = little stupid
40 years old and can't balance a checkbook = BIG STUPID
