There is a special device that's a sprinkler with a motion sensor that makes a noise and sprays water called Scare Crow by a company called Contech. You can order them online for about $80. http://www.contech-inc.com/products/scarecrow/ Look at the funny video they have. It really works!

believe it or not... growing marigold around the outer border helps keep all furry pests away. The scent is offensive to rodents, squirrels, moles ect ect.

Marigolds are cheap, hearty and self propigating and make a nice border and best of all natural no chemicals needed.

WOOF!

My Sheltie's job is patrolling the gardens -- we grow fruits and vegetables for our farm cooperative. Nothing gets by him! He's a tireless worker and keeps the pests away.

Put on a really scary Halloween mask, wait for it to come out of its hole, and then jump out and go BLAHLALALALA!!!

Seriously, those are resilient animals, and there is no shortage of them. Kill it. The worms, crows, buzzards and maggots need to eat too, after all.

Try hanging a pie pan out on a string on a post or tree, the noise might scare it away....plus any other animals you might not want in your yard...
