Yes, especially if you are in the middle of the pack. Missing one you are usually safe, miss 2 and there is a good chance and 3 pills you definitely should use a back up. After 2 missed pills the hormone levels are significantly affected and the pill is ineffective. good luck and be safe!

After missing 2 you are at risk for ovulating and a backup method, such as condoms, should be used for the remainder of the pack.
