I would like to re-do my garage floor. / need ideas on how to do this please
-first off, there are many spots of oil stains, and grease.
-next, there are some cracks -not really wide cracks, but it looks like some cracks from perhaps initial settling.

I would like to clean the floor first - not sure what to use for this - what would be best to clean off the oil stains, etc...?

Then, i would like to "Paint or Coat" the floor with something similar to a driveway sealer, so it resists oil stains, etc...so they are easy clean up.

What do you all suggest I can use from your experience to clean and paint/coat this floor. And, what tools would I require in terms of brushes and perhaps what type of roller or cleaning/coatings ?

Thanks again for your help, much appreciated.

Use oil dry to dry the oils spots up. Spread the oil dry out over the spots and grind it into the cement with your foot.then sweep the reisdue away. Then you can take a pressure washer and some watered down bleach and clean the cement. Then go to a paint store and tell them what you are painting/ staining and they can hook you up with the paint or stain you need.

When I was doing mine, I used muratic acid and a broom to eat up the oil and grease stains. Then you can get the coating from Home Depot to finish off the floor with an epoxy type of paint. This will seal it and then the oil and grease can just be wiped up.
