If the ALL STAR game was being played in an A.L. stadium (with the DH), Kevin Youkilis would have gotten in easily. Since he was a write-in (with Ortiz as Boston's 1st baseman) many fans picked Ortiz over writing him in on the ballot.

I'm disapointed that only pitchers were selected for the Final Vote ballot.

He should be on the FINAL VOTE instead of Okajima! I like Hideki but Youk deserves it more, he's worked is way all the way up through the Red Sox system. The Greek God of Walks also has no errors this year in 583 attempts, the most without an error in the Majors this year. It's a shame that he didn't make it.

I think either Ortiz or Manny should give up their spot. Ortiz will make it again, and Manny really didn't deserve it so they should let Youk have a shot for once.

because this year = NL park = NO DH

who is more popular on the Red Sox. David Ortiz or Kevin Youkaliss?????

and since each team can only have one name on the ballot for IF positions, Ortiz was put on the ballot, and of course won the starting spot

The problem is that he plays different positions day in and day out, which means that he is competing for David Ortiz or ARod depending on if he is at first or third base. There is a decent chance that he, like Molina for the Giants in the National League, will be added as the game gets closer.

No room, he lost the fan vote to Ortiz and not put on the team by the manager. Good players are always left out.

He should be there but... They really need to come up with a better way to determining allstars. Ortiz and Manny shouldn't even be there this year. They just havn't done enough in my book and I'm a Red Sox fan.
