No one particular kind of person comes to mind. Back in the 80's, I used to love their t-shirts. But, back in the 80's, I had a little more money to spare. Nowadays, I shop at discount stores and thrift stores.

Banana Republic used to have some cute clothes... comfy, too. I live in a great big city... so the only "kinds" of folks I can think of who might shop at Banana Republic are "folks who have more money that I do."

Ive been in Banana Republic once with my wife. All I saw were women and queer looking guys. So if you're a woman or a sissy man, B Rep is the place for you(in my opinion)

Banana Republic, I think of my sister in law. She's very classy, not always dressing trendy, but dresses herself very well.

very conservative, almost matronly.

HOWEVER, i, a 17 year old girl, have gone into a BR and have found a couple cute things-dresses, skirts, and a blouse.

i like express, which is like a much hipper version of banana.

myself lol
but this is biased, I thought of it as a boring and monotone store before I started shopping there, but they have added lots of bright colors and there stuff is classy and you can dress it up and down, its very versatile.
I would consider anyone who shops here practical.
