If you are setting limits prior to the experience, fine. You are setting limits prior to committing to the actions and your partner knows you limits.

To me topping from the bottom is a contradiction in terms. If you are directing you are not being dominated.

The easy way for change in your time together is the hand movement. If he is doing one thing take his hand or penis and move it where you want it. This works for the guys to.
You can also move your body into different positions and each will get the idea from the other. For those who are shy its the easiest way. Manuver your hands or body into new positions.
