Well it started yesturday, I have driven the car for about 3 hours around and some knocking sound came from under the hood, it starting knocking around 2500 rmps. My Gf said that the engine may be out of oil, so I stopped by Autozone, checked the engine oil stick, no oil registered, so I bought oil for the engine. When I put some, the engine stopped knocking, But today, when i was driving to work when the engine reached around 4500rpm's starts knocking again.Did the engine has any kind of damage inside because I was driving it without oil?

By driving low on oil, you most likely damaged a rod or main bearing. With a 17 year old car, your best bet is to find a junkyard engine and have the motor changed, or depending on the condition of the car, you may be better off getting a different car!!

It is very likely that you have caused some damage to the engine. If you want to make it last a little while longer keep a watch on the oil level. Change the oil and filter now and switch to a little higher viscocity oil. You have damaged the bearings in the engine and the tolerances between the crank and piston rod is larger now, by using a higher viscocity oilyou can eliminate the knocking but change the oil and filter NOW. and use a higher viscous oil. If you are using a 5w30 switsch to a 10w30. In the worste case you can change to a 20w50 the car is using oil it must be checked very often or you will be walking before long. Best of luck to you.

I would say 100% chance you have caused significant damage to your engine, knocking of that sort is caused by excessive clearances between parts that are normally lubricated. Bearings are made from a soft lead like material and don't last long without oil. Be advised that with that kind of damage your engine may seize up without warning, punch a rod through the block or worse.

No the engine's are way different. the civic will have a 1.5 single cam duelport injection 16v or a 1.6 single cam multiport if it's an si. The accord has like a 2.0 or 2.2 12v engine. They are to different.

There may have been some damage from low oil, however you may still have had 2 quarts of oil in it. Usually if it doesnt show on the oil stick it is 2 quarts or more too low--depends on how low it was.

It is very possible that the crankshaft bearings and the connecting rod bearings were damaged from running with no oil.
