Strange indeed, if this truly happened and your scared then find a dumpster and toss it in. If your not then may want to answer it. That's what i would do.
But also consider this. cell phones have speakers and receivers and by some freak accident someone passing by could have been getting a call that matched your circuits and triggered your ringer through the electronics.

First off I would say to check the phone just in case, make sure that the battery and the sim card are actually out first. If they are still in the phone then you know it wasn't your imagination. If the sim card and battery are out then, the next step would be to place a tape recorder of some sort in the room to record while you are sleeping and while you are awake ask questions with long pauses in between so that the spirit can answer. EX: (are you the one making my phone ring?) ( What is your name?) (Can you make the phone ring again for me?) Things like that just to see if it may be paranormal activity.
Now I would suggest that you listen carefully to the tape recorder to see if there are any voices because they could be trying to get your attention, if this is the case please acknowledge their presence, and after you have done that get a hold of a local paranormal group in your area and have them investigate your home! If you need help finding a local group email me and I will find one in your area!
I guess this is just a way to validate your claim, so you know for sure that you are not crazy, and that this is really happening to you.

I hope this helps you a little bit.

Sounds like there are a few explanations for the phone ringing as it is. Another phone in the area could have had similar circuitary is yours and when it received a call you got the ring. Someone whom has 'passed over' may have been trying to get your attn. and knew that ringing the phone would. Or, if the battery hadn't been dead to long maybe it really was an actual call to your phone. I say this because I've had things work that I had thought the battery ran down in for years and was told that some batteries have spurts of energy until they die completely and that what my phone had done was receive a call.
I hope that you and your sister aren't over the age of 5 since you sleep in the same room. It's not appropriate at any age over that..people go to jail if their kids are sharing a room past a certain age.

1) Answer it.....and if it says "You have 7 days" then you are screwed.
2) Make a wish when it rings.... It might come true.
3) Put it somewhere where it wont wake you up when it rings.
4) Call a preist and have the demons exorcised from the phone.
There are all kinds of things you can do

calm down. There might be enough juice in the battery to operate a sound system but not run the entire phone. It its broken, maybe a wire or two got crossed. Aside from that, it's just kind of creepy.

First....if you have" holy carp "I'd either put the phone next to it and see if that helps! only kidding! when ever my friends or loved ones who have crossed over visit they play.........they shut off my t.v.,ring and knock at the front door, and yes call! There also may be someone trying to get ahold of you or be noticed,do to the fact your on the same wave length and you can finally are responding. Not everything that happens is paranormal or evil.Do some investigating on your phone an if theres been any others within this range of electrical anomalies.you could also answer it.I would, but I like to know who's calling from any line.....Blessed be!

If you're sure that it is ringing, try calling it to make sure. It has no battery to power the circuit's though. If you are trying to find a way to get rid of it, then give it to a place that recycles it. A lot of places take old phones.

I'm not sure how the fact that your sister sleeps in the same room means that you weren't dreaming. It's very likely that you were indeed dreaming, or somebody's wristwatch alarm was going off and you thought it was the phone. Without a battery, there would be no power to activate the circuits.
By the way, Best Buy will accept your used cell phones for recycling. Why not do that?

The same thing happened to me once,it kept ringing while I was trying to sleep, except the battery was in.Now,you say the battery and sim card was out, man, you are screwed!Don't worry though, they probably want to abduct you, but, worst case senario,if you see the ufo land in your yard or something, just think thoughts like 'leave me alone',or 'go away',or 'no thank-you'!

The cell phone is trying to tell you something. What you need to do is stay awake when it usually goes off, and find out what it is trying to tell you.
