An alloy is a combination of two or more metals to usually make the material stronger. A ferrous material is a metal that contains iron so a non ferrous alloy would be two combined materials containing no iron at all. Ferrous materials can rust due to the fact that it contains iron so non ferrous alloys would be materials such as Brass which is Copper and Zinc or Aluminium alloy which is usually Aluminium and Zinc. Ferrous alloys would be a material such as wrought Iron which is a combination of steel and Iron.
