I say its time. The Red Sox are playing like **** and are gaining ground. What's going to happen when the Red Sox offensive picks up again? I say throw in the towel Yanks fans. I would.

They have the bats to do some damage, but the lack of pitching and fielding will make it impossible to gain ground on the Red Sox. They don't need to worry about the Red Sox right now though, they need to try and get past Toronto first of all. The best they can hope for is the wild card, and that isn't going to happen.

No, last year at this time they were down 4 games. they finished the season up 10 games, and right now they are only down 11 games back. Anything can happen. The Yankees have a great history of post-All Star division come backs. Don't be suprised to see anything happen. Whether its the Sox, Yankees, or Blue Jays, it's baseball, anything can happen.

Yup Yup Yup the Yankees are DONE.
3rd in the AL East
11 games behind the Red Sox, who are playing badly.
&& 9 games out of the wild card.
No playoffs for the Yankees this year.
Even with A-Rod actually earning his money this year.

give up on a team with so much talent with 80+ games to go? no way. the yanks have a really easy july playing against TB and KC and white sox. they can easily pull off a 10 game win streak. the yanks are not done.

HAHA, I love it! Unfortunately I have been a sox fan for far too long to know what can happen. Can't count the Yankee's out just yet. If there still 10+ games out by the trade deadline, they're done.

For the AL East its over! For the wild card I thought they had something rolling until they came to my hometown and lost to the O's 2 out of 2 and of course the came that is paused in the top of the eighth with them up by 2. I think Rivera is going to blow that game in late July and the Yanks will lose the Wild Card by 1 game.

Go Orioles.....Third Place in the East will be awesome!

As a long time Yankee fan I agree with Yogi. He said "it aint over until the fat lady sings" and it isn't . The Yankees are traditionally a second half team and Boston usually fades in the second half. Watch for them to make a move at the trading deadline after they fire Torre and Cashman and make a run at the AL title..

They have some issues, but its still early July so I wouldn't count them out just yet. It doesn't look good for them right now, but lets wait and see what kind of moves Cashman makes as the trade deadline approaches. This team could be radically different by the end of the month if they don't turn things around in the next couple weeks.

I think most if not all yanks fans have given up on them already. Hence the large amount of Mets fans out there, who were nowhere to be found when they were the doormat in the NL East.

Bandwagon NY sports fans...all of them.
