Common leaks are from the drain plug, oil filter gasket, oil pan gasket, and for the biggy, the rear main seal, between the tranny and engine. If it's leaking real fast, I'd check into the oil pan plug or oil filter.

In addition to what saddler said, the front crank seal, the valve covers, the oil fill cap and the oil pressure switch are other places to look for leaks.

It could be coming from the valve cover, oil pan, oil filter or the hoses that supply oil to various parts of the engine. If you are not very good doing mechanical stuff on cars, take it to someone you trust who is mechanically knowledgeable. That is my advice.

One of the most common areas is the rear main seal. There can be other and less costly leaks, oil pan, valve covers, and filter area. Good luck.

Most leaks are from the oil pan and usually just needs a new gasket. Other places to look would be the oil filter and the oil drain plug (make sure they are not loose).
