Billups isn't leaving Detroit. The teams that were looking at him are no longer interested in him. The Bucks were seriously going to try and sign him but they seem to have lost interest (probably after his performance against the Cavs). The Cavs should never have beat the Pistons (actually the Pistons lost that series more than the Cavs won), at least the Pistons vs. Spurs would have been competitive.

No Doubt in my mind yes James could use more help they could win with Billups I say the Cavs should Give Billups the Poison Pill contract so Detroit Cannot re-sign him.

About 90% of the teams in the NBA should go after Billups. There is a need for a solid Pg and he is one of the top five in the league.

The Cavs can not go after Billups. They are over the cap due to the outrageous contracts Hughes and Big Z have. All they have available is their mid level exception which is 5.5 million. Billups is going to get at least 12 million per year.
Teams are allowed to go over the cap to resign their own players, but not to sign free agents

if they cap out with chauncy it would be worth it it would make the cavs a better team with a back court of larry hughes and chauncy billups and then have a good passer to feed lebron outside or in the post

They should definitely go after Billups, because that would work well with LeBron, Hughes, Gooden, and Big Z. That would aslo have a good bench with Daniel 'Boobie' Gibson and Varejao. So perfect for them.

we really need billups. that would get hughes on the bench where he deserves to be. we need a playmaker besides lebron, or somebody besides big z to make a jump shot. billups will be the main free agent to any team that he goes to. i just hope its not miami, or back to detroit.
GO CAVS!
