At this point of time women in America have almost as much rights as men in some cases even more especially by the law. They can vote, run for president like what hilary clinton can do, and even volunteer to join the army. So if America is to believe in full equality should women be required as men to sign up for the selective service if they are mentally and physically capable as men?

Nobody should be required to sign up for the selective service, since Cheney and Co. didn't go.
Having said that, I think that women shouldn't have to sign up even if men do.

Some women are tough and can handle themselves on the front lines, so they should be allowed to enroll on their own accord. However, the majority of women are physically weaker, and more emotionally sensitive so they should not be forced to participate.
You must be foolish to think that women and men are equally physically capable. Even women understand that as a whole, men are stronger and bigger built.

Yes they should.
They are equal so should be treated eqaully, not just when it suits them. Go fight girls. You asked for it!!!
And there's no reason why not. Can anyone come up with any reason why women should'nt fight. Makes no sense to me never has. I would love to be in the military and never have to worry about going to war. Plus like other things, in case of a draft now. Men have no choice. Women do have a choice. Why??

No, they are not equally prepared to serve in the military as men. That is not to say that no woman could perform normal combat duties.
