You had your chance to get rid of Bush in '04 and you blew it. Stop whining and suck it up for another year and a half.

Last I heard, Pelosi took the option of impeachment off the table and I can see why. If Congress just impeaches Bush, Cheney takes over...AAAHHH! (to say the least). If Congress manages to get rid of Bush and Cheney, Pelosi's next in line and the whole process looks like a power-grab. Personally, I think we'd have to impeach down to the level of dumpster-diving street bum to find someone with a conscience.

At this point President Bush has no power or support. Impeach Cheney and you will get your Rating and Holiday.

you'd probably wake up between the approval rating thing and the holiday declaration.
anyway, we've been over this before. pelosi isn't dumb enough to try and impeach bush because one of two things happens. either they are successful and look evil by setting a precedent of impeaching presidents for doing nothing wrong, AND they create an incumbant opponent in cheney which is even worse, or they *** it up and aren't successful, and make ken starr look like a genius.

Unfortunately, Bush will not get impeached. There are not enough vote in both the House and Senate to impeach him and currently, no grounds - and neither will there be as long as he hides behind his executive priviledge to trample the rights of Americans.

Unfortunately, the halls of Congress are filled with the gutless who gave the executive branch a blank check to wage war, because it seemed so easy to get those approval ratings soaring while the sons of daughters of others are dying for the multi-national corporations and major campaign donors.
Each Congressional member would have to also resign so the nation can start with a fresh slate of people who may - just may - have the best interests of the nation in mind.

Actually, the House of Representative may choose to impeach the President for any reason...but to do so without reason would be a mistake.
They don't have the votes to impeach him...so they won't.

They can impeach Bush and Co. as long as they follow him out the door. Washington needs a complete overhaul from the top down.

They're going to need an actual crime to impeach. Believe me if they had anything they would be moving for impeachment already.
Actually they DID impeach Clinton for lying under oath. The senate simple didn't find him guilty.
