well i do not like to judge others because you do not know alot about them therefore you have an opinion about them with out knowing their true personality.second because i realized that saying stupid things to people that you barely know are stupid as well as arrogant and childish and even if you are to be nice to these people that you may judge you are not a good person.if you want to be nice then be nice but do not turn the other cheeck and do what you preach not to do.also because those people are the most unlikey people you will meet and because you basically are throwing away a shot at someone who may help you at some point in your life therefore judging in my opinion is wrong and if you do not believe me then read the Bible.it says not to judge others and to act the way you want to be treated and to respect others as others respect you and not to wish any wrong-doings but be the better person. just because you help others and are being nice to them does not maean that you are a good person but rather someone who is two-faced and who does not know alot about life..you need to sit down and think of what you are or might be doing and then put yourself in the people's shoes and see how it feels if the tables were to be turned and then realize what you are doing.do not judge others since many do not judge you..

I think you should challenge yourself to live to a higher standard.

Just have fun - depends what you mean by fun. An awful lot is accomplished in this world through delayed gratification - it's one of the primary measures of emotional intelligence. Of course we all want to have fun, and it's good to not take things too seriously, but I tend to think that most people who say that are just looking to avoid responsibility - which in the end probably reduces overall life satisfaction.

Be nice to others who you judge to be deserving of your help - I think that would be a much better statement if you just said "be nice to others." It's a much harder standard, but ultimately a much more rewarding one.

This may surprise you but this is the way many live today so there must be something right about the mode of living.

As for me, I differ a bit. I believe that life is a journey in search of true happines which one will achieve in the next life (this is not original but was Plato's center post philosophy. He went on to say that we can gain glimpses of happiness in this live by our actions and meditations but these sights are not the real or lasting item. Along the way there will be more pain than pleasure and stumbling blocks in our path to reaching our goal.

I personally agree with living life like this but poeple are just too confused about themselves and WILL find ways to hurt you, either intentionally or un-intentionally. It Just won't work. Don't you think its been tried before by people more intellient than you or me?

The only difficulty is that the very person that you judge unworthy of your help may be the one that will ultimately help you the most.

Nothing, but the ignorant life-wasters will think you're insane.
Also, you might not be a good judge of who deserves help, but that's a whole different topic.

If we live our lives with compassion then the world is a better place for all.

A wise man once said: If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy yourself, practice compassion.

I see we have the same basic philosophy. I see no downside.
