Yes. But wouldnt the rain short-out the keyboard and damage your machine ?? ..... OH!! You in inside LOL OK.... Yes. Yes you can, I did the other day with loads of thunder and lightning going round. If anything it was a bit faster LOL!!

As in most electrical storms, most electrical and electronic devices should be powered off, to prevent damage in the case of a lightning strike to a local power pole or central office. As that can cause an increase or burst in electrical current which can cause significant damage to electrical and electronic devices that do not have a power surge device that regulates power. Though, it's best not to use your laptop (plugged in) and wireless router and modem in severe storms, if it's a simple rain and thunder, by all means, you can use it. As long as your physically not outside in the rain with the laptop on your lap.

You're O.K. with rain and thunder, It's only lightning you have to watch. Always turn off your laptop during a lightning storm.
In fact turn it off when there is thunder too in case there is lightning.

yes.. better to be away from windows though..

reason why.. lightening tries to find the fastest way to the ground (normally tree's)

do not use it in the rain outside or else you will have a rather expensive firework display.

yea you can i used mine in thunder storms and lightining untill it actually got struck then i had to go have it fixed

I dont see why not--I use my desktop in lightning storms even though I probably shouldnt.

yes, you can. it wont damage Ur laptop or Ur wireless modem..but if you were usin cables it'd damage Ur modem its happened to one of my friend!!
