We are going to Disney in Sept & we will be there from the 22-28. It is my boyfriend & I. We are planning on going to all 4 parks (MGM, Magc Kingdom, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom) + Universal. We are bringing a bag for the parks, we only want to bring one for both of us, & we will take turns carrying it. Can you recommend a bag? We need it to be sturdy, we both have slightly bad backs. In it we want to have 2 water bottles (small plastic spring water), lip balm, 1-2 ponchos, digital camera (small one), 2 extra AA batteries, our customized Disney maps/itenarary/list of phone numbers & dining reservations, travel size of sunscreen & 2 cell phones. One of us will have those small plastic waterproof card carriers around our neck for allour cards & cash, so the bag does not need to have a secure place for those items. We will be wearing a bathing suit, if needed, & we won't be changing. We will also wear sunglasses & a visor, but it would be nice to have room for them in the bag, just in case

Thanks for all the advice. However, I am lookng for a specific bag that you can recommend, not just "a small backpack with lots of zippers"

Wow your vacation sounds just like mine and my husbands. We take pretty much the same stuff and we use a backpack. One with lots of zipper pockets. It works great for everything. Also don't forget the ziplock type bags for water rides or if it rains. You don't want your cell phones or camera to get wet. You can also bring in your own snacks to the parks. We do it all the time when we go. You just don't want the bag to be to heavy as it does start to hurt your back more through out the day. And my husband and I both have bad backs also. Just so you know security does check your bags at the entrance but its a quick look through they don't take anything out they just want to make sure you aren't carrying any weapons or anything like that. Have fun. We leave the Monday after Thanksgiving for Disney World.

Really just about any bag will work since it doesn't need to be real heavy duty or anything. If you were going to carry a lot, then I would say to go for a nicer brand, something like Swiss, but I don't really think you would have to.

I always just use a backpack that has several different areas to throw things in. I will use one place for papers and things, and then another for anything like cell phones or MP3 player, etc. and then one for your water bottles and any food. Keeping things seperate will make it easier to find things and then always prevent your water from getting on papers and things like that.

I would stay away from anything that is too structured, if you will be riding a lot of rides you will probably have to shove it small spaces a lot, if it more flexible it is easier. Also, don't spend a ton of money on it unless you plan to use it again. I usually just get a new one each time I go because they take quite a beating in the parks.

Finally, just one suggestion. You said that only one of you would be carrying the money and cards and tickets. I would consider each of you carrying your own cards and keys as well as some money. In case one would get lost, you would not lose everything and it would make the situation not quite as bad. I would also put a little extra money in your bag and/or in your room just in case you would lose some and need some.

Hope this helps!

Have a great time!

Be there, done that! I would highly recommend a smaller backpack with padded straps, but one that isn't too "hot" - you don't want an extra reason to sweat if it is very warm. Outside pockets for sunscreen, a bottle of water, etc. is great. I always throw in a few ziploc bags of various sizes to hold cameras & cell phones, just in case it rains. We have used my elementary school-aged son's school backpack the past few times. This is a good size, because you can get everything you need into it without it being so packed you can't find anything. Disney conveniently sells backpacks at every gift shop:) Have a great trip!

particularly very almost any bag will paintings using fact it would not might desire to be actual heavy duty or something. in case you have been going to hold lots, then i could say to choose for a nicer kind, some thing like Swiss, yet i do no longer probable think of you are able to might desire to. I continuously purely use a backpack that has countless distinctive components to throw issues in. i will use one place for papers and issues, and then yet another for something like cellular telephones or MP3 participant, and so on. and then one to your water bottles and any food. protecting issues seperate will make it greater undemanding to locate issues and then continuously stay away from your water from getting on papers and issues like that. i could stay removed from something it particularly is purely too prevalent, in case you would be using particularly some rides you will probable might desire to shove it small areas lots, if it greater versatile it particularly is greater undemanding. additionally, do no longer spend a ton of funds on it except you intend to apply it back. I frequently purely get a clean one each and every time i pass using fact they take particularly a beating interior the parks. finally, purely one advice. You suggested that purely certainly one of you would be sporting the money and playing cards and tickets. i could evaluate each and each of you sporting your guy or woman playing cards and keys as properly as some funds. In case you are able to still wander away, you does no longer lose each and every little thing and it may make the region no longer particularly as undesirable. i could additionally placed a sprint greater funds on your bag and/or on your room purely in case you are able to lose some and desire some. desire this enables! A sling bag like this one: (Jansport's are easy to carry and have a padded strap:ebags has several styles of sling bags but I was trying to find one that was not too girly.)

or a messenger bag that can be drapped across you:

I wouldn't pack too much. But I would bring a little backpack that the little kids wear. This should do the trick.

I answered this question already but think a fanny pack type bag, while "uncool" is very convenient for Disney parkhopping.

If you get a disney themed one (posted a link of one up for auction to give you an idea of what I mean), you could probably share duty of using it with the kids :)
