Is it bad to masturbate at a young age (i.e. 13)?

I was masturbating at 10. 13 is not too young. There is not a number one can say is too much. At your age I would suspect you do it 4-5 times a day. What ever you are comfortable with. There was a time I did 10 -12 so it depends on the individual. Just don't let guilt find its way to you, there is nothing to be guilty about. and keep it private. Enjoy.

13 is usually the age boys masturbate if they don't already. 13 isn't "young", since boys can masturbate from birth, whenever they discover that it feels good.
And there's really no such thing as too often. Do it as often as you need to. No harm, enjoy.

Generally, you will start at an age that is right for your body. If this is thirteen then that is the right time. The desire to masterbate comes with puberty. In moderation, masturbation is not unhealthy.

Some boys start at the age of 9. Just don't overdo it.

my friend started when his a 2nd grader
and he do it a lot...!
don't mind me, i was innocent to that till i was 6th grade
try 2 a week
