Yes, you are more likely to get Toxic Shock Syndrome or TSS. If you say you need them for heavy flow, then just use the super ones on those days only and use the smaller ones the other days. Be sure you leave them in for less than 8 hours straight, and then change them. Use super long pads at night to decrease the risk. It is serious, but if you do these things you should be fine.

The absorpency level is based on on how much you bleed, not how old you are or how much you weigh. If you are bleeding alot, than by all means use the super. Just make sure to change them every 4-6 hours. You can get Toxic Shock Syndrome from just using tampons of any kind. Change your tampon regularly and if you are just bleeding really light use a pad to reduce your risk of TSS.

It's perfectly fine to use super tampons. The amount you bleed isn't correlated to your weight or age - it's unique to you. TSS warnings appear on tampon boxes and all who know (doctors, etc.), recommend that you do not keep a tampon in for longer than 6-8 hours. I use different absorbency tampons throughout my period to ensure that I change them on average about every 4-6 hours.

You should be fine. Just don't leave them in longer than 7-8 hours. TSS is very rare. It is recommended that you use the smallest absorbancy possible, but for the heavy first few days a super is completely fine.

It is perfectly OK, but to be safe, never leave one in for more than 4 hours at a time and do not use them at night. Pads only at night and do not use super as your flow slows down use smaller sizes.
