I believe he and Mr Cheney should go hunting. If Bush had listened to the people to begin with and been honest his life maybe different at this moment. He made the mistake of being The Decider. It amazes me how they forgot they work for We the People. We do not work for them. Anyhow at this point he can only continue to make a mess. I don't think he and the rest are capable of anything better.

Unfortunately, he is boxed into a corner. If he leaves Iraq it will be a public admission of being wrong. It is too late to make any headway on economic issues except tax reform. He doesn't *dare* step down--that would ruin what he has left of his legacy.
His only real option is to keep going with the shaky status quo and hope for the best.

You are right. He cannot just take all out troops home at once. What he can do though is tell talibani that he NEEDS to get his *** in gear, and get his own troops trained. Then Bush needs to pull most of the troops out of Baghdad, and station them in Kuwait and Saudi and Jordon. More of less get out troops out of the middle of a civil war. Then using targeted strikes, go after Al-qeada. However what people seem to forget, is the fact the 90% of the violence is not Al-qeade related, it is sectarian violence. And unless Bush wants to choose a side to fight for, there is no point in our boys getting blown up.

What is right, regardless of public opinion. What is right being defined as what is best for America based on the advice of his complete cabinet and the most up to date information available.
Our Presidents do it every day of their terms. Former President Clinton did it. So is President Bush. So will our next (Democrat) President.

"To save my tarnished legacy, I would rethink my entire Middle-East policy. I would actually listen to those who have first-hand knowledge of the issues rather than just rely on the biased opinions of my closest advisors."
