However...
Hannibal ranks up there. Genghis Khan was the greatest in terms of scope and his population program (one out of every 8 people in the WORLD are direct descendants!!!!!). It depends on how we define great. Genghis Khan conquered more land than any other individual, did more for his people than any other person, and overcame far greater odds just to survive his youth than anyone else listed here.
