Government officials say 100% positive that we will be attacked. But with all of the tools they have at their disposal (all the spying and snooping), shouldn't they be able to at least prevent the the attacks if they can predict with certainty that they are coming?

Also, we gave all these agencies (CIA, FBI, NSA the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Agents, plus your basic law enforcement) more money to keep us more safe, why are they promising us more attacks?

They LIKE to keep us in a constant state of fear. Read the following.....and make a note of who said the first paragraph:

Why of course the people don't want war. Why should some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally the common people don't want war neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country." Hermann Goering, Nazi

"Our government has kept us in a perpetual state of fear — kept us in a continuous stampede of patriotic fervor — with the cry of grave national emergency. Always there has been some terrible evil at home or some monstrous foreign power that was going to gobble us up if we did not blindly rally behind it." General Douglas MacArthur

More fear mongering or an actual warning of what the government is planing to do again? There were warnings like this before 9/11 so we would be wise to heed them. The reason I can say this is Dub-ya's amnesty program failed and he is mad at the people. The entire governments approval rating has never been lower and needs a serious shot in the arm to recover. The new world order and north American union plans are stalling due to people waking up so an "event" is required to get things moving again.
When It happens we must not panic and fall right into their plans like they will insist it was Iran so will excuse our bombing the hell out of them. We must not be tricked into this global war of Armageddon! Wake up! We have some true evil in control of these events! The only ones that will profit from this will be the international bankers funding both sides of any conflict! It is not in their best interest for the world to be at peace!
If an "event" were to happen the very first thing they will do is pass bills in congress totally killing the remnants of the constitution and any rights we have left, establishing the draft and establishing the North American union so people from Mexico and Canada can be drafted into a UN controlled force!
It will all sound perfectly logical but don't buy it for a second!

Saying an attack is coming is much like watching a football game. I can say a touchdown is coming, but when, and by who, I can't say. Most experts say that another attack will occur, just because there are so many plots, so many people, so many cells that one will slip though and carry out the attack.

You make it sound like these agencies have unlimited manpower, time, money and resources, they don't. Its that reason why something will slip, or be missed. That is why the greatest defense the US has against a terror attack is our own citizens. We must continue to keep an eye out for those who would do us harm here in our own country.

When the government says that there is a level of certainty that attacks will come, it is a guess. This guess is based on the fact that other attacks have occurred and there are people at large that want to attack. There is no certainty of when, where and how the attacks will come. The object is to make people wary so that they will notice and report unusual things. It is a very complex and difficult game of cat and mouse, with noone really sure who is the mouse.

I don't think so, the terrorists have a huge advantage in that they can name the time and the place, the government can only react, you can't possibly have 100% security in even just a small country like U.K. all of the time.

I'm going to throw a snowball at you(terrorist says they are going to attack). You don't know when I will throw it. You don't know at what location you will be hit with the snowball. You don't know from what place I will throw the snowball at you. In anticipation of all the chatter you have heard that I am going to throw a snowball at you, you have hired many bodyguards(FBI, NSA, etc). However, there is still a chance I could hit you. Now multiply this times every citizen and every location in the US. Not good odds, but they are doing their best.

They're the government, they are not gods. Even with all their security measures, they can't predict it fully, but they can decrease the chance.

It's a ploy played on the gullible American public to create more policeman type jobs.

Why doesn't anyone ban cars when over 40,000 Americans are killed on the highways every year?

They know, because they are the ones planning them. They need that sort of thnig to back the changes they are making in foreign policy.

because they are spending money on their homes, their cars, and their life. DO YOU THINK that the administration cares if a terrorist attack comes? they will say they can't stop it so then they will get more support. Politics is corrupt.
