All of the PDBs to Bush, and all of the info Rice had (hundreds of pages) saying al-qeada was going to hijack planes, still did not spur the government into action to at least try and prevent 9/11. Now there is a new document saying Al-qeada is planning a series of attacks against America, and just yesterday Chertoff said there was no indication of any threat to America. Bush better not screw this up like he did Iraq.........

Yes... They only want to pretend like they are protecting America even though it's getting a lot more dangerous to live here.

how do you decide between what 3 or 4 people are telling you. which one is the truth and which one is not. i am willing to bet that most people have at least some confidence in the prez or we would have booted his a** out of office a long time ago like one election or an impeachment. i dont like bush but he is the one who has the most clear picture of what is going on. if u believe all that they say on t.v. then u are a idiot do u think we are the only ones who watch cnn or abc the iraqi's and irani's and afghani's can get on the net just like u and me so it might be a misdirection while stockpiling weapons or sending in a secret military force to deal with such threats as may be and oh yea maybe bush didnt screw up iraq maybe congress did

Unfortunately, there are always rumors and plots by terrorist organizations. And... there are lots of facts about them.

The problem is... fitting the facts into context BEFORE something happens.

Most of the facts we had about 9/11 only sense and fit together AFTER it happened.

But one would think that given the recent events in the UK and the previous events in America, that the US would be following up on ANY lead.

Unfortunately... the movie and music industries are moving agents off of terror investigations and onto music/movie piracy... because those college kids sharing music are SOOOOO much more of a danger to the US than the terrorists planning attacks.

Welcome to the US run by special interest.

They're not ignoring anything. Chertoff said there was no indication of a threat to America from the current attacks on England, not that there was not threat to America at all. Everyone knows there are threats to America every day.

Maybe not ignoring it. It may just be tied up in redtape, unusable because of wire taps, or illegal interrogation, etc. It is really nice to tie someones hands and then sream because they don't do anything. Seems like it was some fellow named Clinton that destroyed our military and our intelligence gathering capabilities.

With the current state of the US Government, I don't know how you can use US Government and intelligence in the same sentence. Sounds like an oxymoron.

Due to turf fighting and kingdom building it is "samo, samo" as usual. Words like government intelligence, sober drunk, virtuous prostitute, honest politician, etc; are all oxymoronic. So it has been and so it shall always be.
