Did your laptop come with system recovery CDs or DVDs? If they did, start your computer and insert the disc. Then shut off your computer. Turn it on again and the system recovery program starts. There are a couple options on the screen. Chooose "Format and Recover". Use this option only if you dont care about what is on the hard drive. If you dont want to loose all your data you can choose the "Recover" option. This might allow you to load windows and have your laptop working again! If not , remove the CD or DVD and shut off your PC. Turn it on again and press F1 before you see the Toshiba screen. Now in the BIOS setup utility, go to the bottom of the screen or the last tab and select "load setup defaults" Press enter. Your computer shoyuld start normally now. If it still doesnt, restart your PC and insert , if you have them ,your Windows CDs. Restart again and hopefully the computer will run windows from the cd. If not go into BIOS and make the computer from boot from the CD rom drive. Save the changes and exit. Windows should now load from the CD. If there is a menu, choose reinstall Windows. Do this and your computer should be fixed. If it still isnt, contact Toshiba. Or the problem could just be that the laptop doesnt have enough battery to use all the processor to load windows. So before you try anything, charge your laptop overnight!

I also have a Toshiba Laptop but nothing like that has ever happened to it. It's possible that you completely drained it's battery, so plug in the cable and leave it charging for a while (until the battery light is green). Also, if your laptop is a Toshiba Satellite model A55-S1063, don't bother checking the Toshiba website for help since it and it's information are no longer available there. Your best option is to check it's Handbook under Troubleshooting and find an answer to your problem.

Try taking the battery out of your computer while its off, say like 3-5 minutes. Computers can sometimes shut down after long periods of using them. Hope that helped!

Try booting to safe mode (Press F5 or F8 before it wants to go to Windows, before the Toshiba screen appears.)

(It seems to me that the Toshiba screen is a notice that the BIOS routine needs fixin'.)

If the safe mode starts, try various startup routines to see if you got it.

If you get into the BIOS setup, try to see if a different boot-up sequence will fix it, normally, the boot sequence is set for drive C, (your hard drive).
Try a floppy or try booting first from your CD, (a boot CD) if you have one, if not, make one.

If you have the reboot disk then you will need it. You have to insert it when you see the Toshiba logo.
