Ok, why do I still have bad gas mileage when I had a tune up, all filters changed, tires rotated, balanced, correct pressure and yet I still get 16 miles per gallon on the hwy?
It has 4WD but that is not used. Someone told me that just because of that, 4WD, it is a drag on the car.
My husband's 2004 Dodge Ram Hemi Sport V8, and it gets better mileage than me!
Could someone explain this to me?

Ok, I used to get much better gas mileage before I put BFGoodrich Long Trail T/A's on.
Could that be the problem?
I do not jack rabbit start.
I travel the interstate almost every day.
I use the AC because of the drag when the windows are open.
Gas? I use Sam's Club gas. Citgo make my engine ping.

In order to know that 16mpg is bad, you need to look up what the epa's suggested mpg is. If you're under the range, where and how you drive has the most to do with mpg. If you're in the city idling all the time and perform multiple accelerations, that'll eat up gas. Sitting in traffic gives you 0mpg. Also, depending on the engine, if it's a 4cylinder, it's trying to hard to move a non-aerodynamic brick down the road. The type / brand of gas you use may have minimal effect. Just make sure it's not billy bob's gas corner.

If you drove an Isuzu Frontier w/Spinners on it in LA, you could be laughed at. Save your cash for the spinners and use the cash to open a CD financial savings account. Rims/Spinners on a 4WD auto is quite simply dumb, because the 4WD isn't strong, and finally, it appears "HOOD-RICH" ie. GHETTO. Not even ghetto faboulous. Just undeniable change-meet ghetto. I do not care what nation it is in, the US, Canada, England, or Africa. Save your cash bro.
